having issues with the crafting assistant.  it starts fine.  when it finishes making an item, the mouse goes over the green circle, presses it, and then goes over to the top left hand corner of the screen.  the log thingy at the top says starting crafting,, then it goes into counter buff ... and starts pressing one 2 and 3......  never having started actual crafting.  it seems it is mising a command or sometihng in between clicking on the green circle and after it starts.  the mouse never hovers over the begin button again after the first crafted item.    yes i've set it many times.. locked the crafting window, done defaults... and all the rest of everything it said todo  in the help section.

Here is a basic trouble shooting checklist of the most common problems. Check for these:

* You should be using the games default crafting window and not a mod or add on. Right click the crafting window and set it to default location again. If you have installed a custom UI (like profit UI etc...) then you might can just delete the eq2ui_tradeskills.xml file from your custom UI folder and keep the rest. If that fails then try deleting or renaming the eq2.ini file from your base EQ2 directory, as this is the file that directs the game to load a desired ui mod. Then the next time you load into the game, it will load the default UI (the game will recreate the eq2.ini file with default info).

* When using Vista be sure you have disabled desktop composition by right clicking the tools icon and changing its settings. It is detailed in the help file.

* In Vista run the crafting assistant as administrator.

* Be sure the game window is on your main desktop (if you have multiple desktops) and maximized in windowed mode.

Now with all the out of the way we need to find out what is happening. When you follow the auto cal instructions, does the tool actually start crafting, stop, and then close the window all by itself?  Wink

This is typical behavior when the crafting window is not calibrated or been changed. It will craft the first item and then continue sending buffs or countering. It is because it does not know the crafting has ended.  This is nothing new, it has done that since 2005   Wink

90% of the people having trouble with the crafting assistant download it and use it fine for a while and then install the new UI of the month, like thor, fetish, profit... and then it will not craft correctly... even after removing the ui.  Time and time again we see this.  You might can remove eq2ui_tradeskills.xml or crafting.xml and let the game patch and download the original. After this right click the crafting window, set to default location and lock.  Then try and calibrate the crafting window.  On an unmodded game it works everytime. With a custom UI it fails everytime.  Thats why we provide a demo  Smile

Everything i have is default...  no mods. Everything is in default location, and It is calabrated correctly.  I know this be cause when the first item is done crafting, and the green circle shows in the bottum right hand corner of the crafting screen, the mouse hovers over the button, clicks on it, and then goes to the top let hand corner of the screen.  NEVER hovering back over the Begin button.  It just starts countering things.  Sounds to me like a script logic check error ... or something along those lines.
