Hey there. The Boxin and Control Assistant are different programs but they can work together.  They are sold seperately as not everyone needs them both. The Control Assistant would run on your "Main" PC.  The Boxin Assistant would run on your "other" PCs, all the rest.

You do not have to have the Control Assistant to do what you are talking about. You can run the Boxin Assistant on the cleric PC and set up some heals, and also have them assist you in combat.  You can just have it read the in EQ1 game log file.  Then you can say in group chat "Follow me" and they will read their log file, see this text and follow you. Create a macro to target the pet and place it on the clerics hot bar. Go into the advanced heal settings on the Boxin Assistant and use that macro as a target key. It will then heal your pet as it was a player. Set up heals for everyone else as well.  When you say in group chat Start Combat it will go into combat and when you say Stop Combat it will stop. The Boxin Assistant can handle this with ease and without the Control Assistant.

When you need more control then the Control Assistant can run on your main computer and link to the Boxin Assistant(s) through a pearl link network connection. This is a direct private network link and no log file is needed. After this you can send strings of commands to the Boxin Assistant, or multiple Boxin Assistants with a single keypress.  It is great for controlling a group.  Also when you start Boxin a Chanter then you may want direct control over a mez ect... With the Control Assistant you can then press one key that sends a string of commands to the Boxin Assistant so they:

• Stop casting
• Assist you to get your target
• Cast charm on target
• Assist you again to get your new target
• Send in the new shiny pet to attack
