Is there a tutorial somwhere on the inactive window settings? I (a total noob) am trying to experiment with these and run multi accounts on the same machine, however, all I have managed so far is to make my keyboard unresponsive.

Open the Control Assistant on your pc.  Open notepad.  Open the help file and read the section on setting up the inactive window controls.  Once you get this to work then move to the game and test it there. If you cannot make it work with notepad then something is wrong because it works fine with it so you can trouble shoot it.

The reason that you need to do this first is so you can get a thorough test. If you make it work great with notepad but then switch to the game and it will not send keys then it probably is not going to...  Some games block input when the window is not active.  If the keys will not send to the game in the back ground then this is probably what is happening.

I know this is probably not the answer that you want to hear. But some games just ignore the keys sent to an inactive window. Frown

Yea I guess it's a no go, It works in notepad. I can make it do all kinds of things in notepad but in the game it's dead in the water. Then I ask myself... "self, why does Blizzard have 12,000,000 customers in WoW and DAOC only have about 20,000 total"   hmmm

We boxed a lot in DAOC but we used seperate PCs to do it.  We never tried to run multiple instances on one computer there.  Seems like it would run on about any hardware. I think we had 512 meg of RAM in some of them.  Anyway, I wish they all allowed inactive windows to accept key strokes. We could have a lot of fun boxing them all on one computer.  :)
