eq2-boxing a mystic

I have the boxin assistant program currently and am trying to find some advice on setup for healing.  Currently what I have it do is ward at 75% then cast a heal.  However more often than not the program spams wards if the heal is not sufficient to bring them over the threshold (even though they did gain health, this is in heavy damage situations).  Which often causes the mysic to get hate.  Any suggestions for setup?

Hey there. We love the mystic in EQ2, especially paired with a warden for the HOT.  That said you really need to use the special heal settings for the wards.  It is on the second page of the heal settings.

  1. Set it to cast the ward on someone, lets say "Bruiser".
  2. Set the recast to the full duration of the ward, say 30 seconds.
  3. Give it a higher priority than your normal heal.
  4. Cast the ward on them and watch the text as it fades. It will be something like "Spectral ward has faded from Bruiser".  Make this the recast trigger text.  When it see's this text go by it will automatically recast the ward. Otherwise it will wait for the 30 seconds before recasting it.
  5. Be sure to type /log in game and point the Boxin Assistant to your correct log file.

After this it should cast the ward once and then just cast the small heal that you have set up until the ward falls off.

Hope this helps! Wink

I should have thought of this, will have to try when I get home.  Another question on the mystic I had is targeting self for heals.  If you target using group 1(f1) for a ward, then cast a heal using group 1, it will switch target to the pet as it just pressed f1 twice.  I have tried using the typed command mini-macro but this doesn't seem to work for eq2.

Anytime the pet is up we usually have to make a macro on the hot bar like:

/target <playername>  to target the player.

/target <petname> to target the pet.

And then use these keys as the target.
