Am I understanding this correctly?

I am at the understanding that with the Control Assistant, I can log as many accounts as my computer will run. 8 or so(a group).

I can then set the 7 bots in the background to assist the active window and all attack simotainiously??

I already have the ability to to log all of those characters, but, what I have dreamed to someday soon come across, is a program that will allow the 7 characters in the background to work in tandem with the active window.

Example; I am running my toon with 7 others following him, I approach a mob and target it, the 7 in the back upon my targetting of the mob will then assist and also target it. At this time when I attack the mob the 7 characters in the back will then also attack the same mob?

Now just say that all my quickbars were set exactly the same on all toons 1 some spell 2 some other spell 3 some other and so fourth. Does this program have the ability to make every window in the background hit the same button at the same time or with a small delay? Now say that two of the background toons were healers, however, their heal spells, were set in the same quickbar slots as the fighters dps. So now I have entered a fight and as I am attacking with my main toon I have 4 others in the back attacking and 2 others healing rather I need the heals or not???

What I am asking I guess is if it is possible to make as many accounts as I can run in the background on pc do exactly what the master account on the top is doing symotainiously? (I know that is mispelled).

Tell me this is possible and you are my new Hero!Wink

Hey there. The inactive window controls on the Control Assistant does what you are talking about, but it will depend on the game that you are playing.  Some games accept keys sent to inactive windows and some do not.  Some that work are wow, lotro, vanguard and one that I know does not is EQ2.

You can map keys to be sent to individual, or all the windows.  Download the demo of the Control Assistant and set it up with notepad as detailed in the help file. Once you have the grasp of how it works then test in your game and see what happens.  It is a free demo  so it will cost you nothing  :)

OK so, I have the downloaded trial and am getting ready to give this a shot. All I basically want is a repeater. Something that will send the same command to every window in the background that I am giving the top window. Any advice as to how to make this easier on some dumb hillbilly?

Ohhh yea, P.S. Thet game is DAOC. Their Eula states something to the effect of 1 key sends 1 command to 1 character only! I dont know what the tolerance is exactly but I do know that in some cases this is tolerated because I see people doing it constantly. Although I will probably be the 1 guy that gets suspended I have to try it out.

They can put anything into the EULA.  My wrists and joints are mine to take care of.  Pressing 1 key instead of 6 to control a group is much easier on me and just makes sense.

  • Computers were invented to perform repetitive tasks quickly.
  • MMORPGs turn computer gaming into performing repetitive tasks slowly.

From wikipedia:

Repetitive strain injury (RSI) (also known as repetitive stress injury, repetitive motion injuries, repetitive motion disorder (RMD), cumulative trauma disorder (CT), occupational overuse syndrome, overuse syndrome, regional musculoskeletal disorder) is an injury of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems that may be caused by repetitive tasks.

Adaptive software:
There are several kinds of software designed to help in Repetitive Strain Injury. Among them, there are speech recognition software, and break timers. Break timers software reminds the user to pause frequently and perform exercises while working behind a computer. There is also automated mouse-clicking software that has been developed, which can automate repetitive tasks in games and applications.
